Return to Projects

Due to a number of existing and imposed constraints, One London Wall is one of the most complex city office buildings ever designed by Foster and Partners. The development is adjacent to the west of the Roman Fort, part of the London Wall and hence a scheduled ancient monument.

The building is supported by a combination of new and re-used foundations and as a result of the need to preserve aspects of the existing structures, the lowest passenger lift lobby is at first floor. The transition from ground to first floor is achieved via escalators through a spectacular nine metre high entrance hall on London Wall.
